Cove is a woven 100% Fire Retardant recycled polyester (GRS certified) and is fully washable.

The fabric has a subtle cross slub texture and a soft handle which gives it a beautiful gentle drape. It offers a valuable level of daytime privacy, particularly for hotel bedrooms, these voiles are a useful tool to gently reduce glare from the sun and enhance comfort and provide a level of sound absorption, without blocking natural light.

As layering continues to be a key interior trend, Cove provides a versatile solution for adding depth and visual interest, whether as used as a standalone window treatment, sheer room divider, or gentle backdrops in lobbies and lounges.

Pencil Pleat or Tape Top Heading:

Suitable for hanging curtain with a track or pole with rings.

Don't forget to knot the strings at the ends before pulling them to create the gather!

For the width: Measure the full width of the track or pole, excluding any finials.

For the Length/Drop: Measure from the bottom of the ring fitting or track to the desired length. Take three (3) measurements, one in the middle and one on each side. Use the shortest of the three (3) measurements as the length/drop.
† This option may have an additional price that will be calculated based upon the dimensions chosen.

Wave Heading:

Suitable for hanging curtain with a wave track. We recommend that you install the track before ordering to ensure the correct drop/length.

You also need to consider the spacing in front and behind the track as to create the wave effect.

60mm spacing – 70mm is required both behind and in front of the track.

80mm spacing – 100mm is required both behind and in front of the track

This allowance will ensure the waves glide freely. Please take this into account when installing your track especially if you are installing into a recess of a window or a channel that has been cut into the ceiling.

For the width: Measure the width of the track.

For the Length/Drop: Measure from the glider on the track to the floor (this should clear the floor by a min of 12mm) or where you would like to curtain to end.

Product Overview
What's the difference between net curtains and voiles?

Voile curtains are very similar to nets but for the geeks among us they do differ in fabric construction.

Essentially the threads in net curtains are knitted together while in voiles they are woven. This means nets tend to be a coarser fabric but also means they are cheaper than voiles as the fabric is easier to produce and they can be cut to size without the need for hemming sides.

Voiles do need hemmed sides to stop fraying, but the benefit is that they have a softer drape, and can come in more creative designs – colours, embroidery and fabric blends are all possibilities with voiles.
How do you hang voile curtains?

There are two main ways to hang voile curtains.

The easiest is to use a tension rod, which extends to fit your window and which holds itself in place. There’s no drilling required and they can be taken down easily if you want to wash your curtains. You can also buy telescopic rods that hang on sticky hooks as an alternative.

The traditional way and cheapest method is to buy a net wire. Net wires have eyes that fit into their ends, so they can be attached to hooks (screw hooks, or sticky) on the wall. Net wires are also good for narrow slot tops curtains.
Can voile curtains go in the washing machine?

Yes most voiles can go in the washing machine with no problem at all.

Just check the washing instructions if the voile is a fabric blend or has embroidery.

Generally we recommend using a hand wash setting on your machine as this will provide the best temperature and spin.

Once washed, hang your voile curtain with as little creasing or pegging as possible. (We don't recommend a tumble dryer as the heat can damage the fibres in the curtain.)

Can voile curtains be lined?

Yes, you can line voile curtains.

As well as increasing privacy, this also increase their thermal qualities.

Most of the time though, it’s used by customer who have fallen in love with a special  voile fabric and want it to be the star of their room. You can see our lined voile ranges here, or if you would like to talk to us about your ideas, please email us on hello@netcurtainsdirect.com
How do you maximise privacy with voile curtains?

The simplest way to maximize privacy is to increase the gather of the fabric – this provides a greater overlap of the fabric and is a superb way to increase privacy. We recommend a 2.5x gather for this reason.

In addition at NCD, we also provide a density rating for every net curtain in our range, from 1, the sheerest fabrics which maximize light, to 5 our densest designs or fabrics.

You can find more details on our density rating here
