Measuring for Pairs of Curtains

To measure your window for a pair of sheer curtains is simple! Read on, for our tips.

Start by measuring the width and drop in the same way as single panels but once you have your width measurement divide this by two.

  • For example, a 100cm wide window would be halved to 50cm and this would be the number to enter as the width, you would then want to select that you want two of these once your gather is chosen.

Step by Step Guide

  • First, measure the width of your track or pole. Ideally your track or pole should extend 15cm either side of your window to allow for curtains to be pulled back from the window (also called the stack back).
  • As above - divide this measurement in 2 and enter this number on the site for width.
  • Then measure from the pole to where you want the curtain to fall to. This is normally just below the window sill or to the floor but is a personal preference.
  • This measurement can be entered exactly as measured.
  • Make sure you add 2 curtains, once you have picked your gather and finishing options.
  • We would also recommend that you note in the "Window Name" box that the curtains going to be hung as a pair.
  • It's best to use a metal tape measure and to measure in centimetres.
  • If you'd like a pair of recess curtains, adjust your measurements to the inside measurements shown below.
