Introducing The Curtain Café

We’ve been making sheers for over twenty years. In that time, café curtains have become one of our most loved things to make, and one of the styles we’re most asked about. So it felt right to give them a home of their own.

The Curtain Café is our new sister site – a considered, curated range of café curtains and the hardware that goes with them. Every fabric has been chosen to work alongside the others. Every piece is made to measure, in our own workroom, by the same team that’s been doing this for two decades. If you know what you like and you want someone to have done the hard work for you, this is where to come.

A smaller range, done properly.

We’ve always been proud of the breadth NCD offers. The Curtain Café is something different – a tighter edit of our favourite fabrics, in the finishes and colourways we’d choose ourselves. Every fabric has been chosen to sit alongside the others, so whatever you pick, it belongs.

The fabrics come from trusted British brands we’ve worked with for years, alongside our own exclusive designs – sourced by us, from mills and factories we’ve visited across Europe. If you’re buying for a café, hotel or restaurant, we include FR versions as standard across the range.

The hardware range.

This is the part we’re especially proud of. Every rod and fitting has been chosen to work specifically with café curtains – nothing else, nothing generic. The range runs from our staple white twist-and-fit tension rod (The Twisty, no drilling required) through affordable extendable metal rods, up to hollow brass like our best-selling Henry, made nearby, and at the top end our hand-crafted solid brass Oscar and Molly, both made in England.

We offer the full range of heading styles too – tape top with brass rings, slot top, and more – so the finish of the curtain works perfectly with whichever hardware you choose.
