Our expert team are ready to sew your curtains to the best quality!

Cumbria features an open weave that allows more air to flow into the room compared to a closely knitted net. The threads are combined to create a thick, textured pattern, making it a great choice for adding subtle texture and depth to your space

Window Width

What is curtain gather or fullness?

When we speak of ‘gather’ or ‘fullness’ we are talking about the finished width of your curtain, including the soft folds that you will traditionally see nets, voiles and curtains have. This means the curtain does not lie flat against the window or door, although this is something you can choose to have. We advise for nets and voiles that you choose 2.5x gather, this means that your window width will be multiplied by 2.5.

Product Overview
Can net curtains look modern?

We think so (although we may be a little biased)!

A plain white net has a clean, fresh look and works beautifully to hide unsightly windows and modernise a view. If you are after a modern look, we recommend reducing the gather - a 1.5x gather looks more modern than the more traditional 2.5x

Linen look voiles also offer a modern alternative to plain nets, or window cling which is applied directly to the window.
