Tab Top, Pleated Tab & Tie Tops
The finished drop is measured from the very top of the tab to the bottom edge of the curtain, meaning the tabs are included in your overall drop. To ensure your curtains hang correctly there must be an even number of tabs, these are usually spaced approximately 15cm apart with each tab measuring 10cm deep with a width of 4cm as standard. These measurements are a rough guide as they are subject to change as per curtain width.
Our tab tops are a bespoke heading and we can therefore position the tabs to your exact specification the only rule we have to stick with is the even number of tabs you can choose the spacing, width and depth. You can even select a contrasting fabric should you wish to add a personal touch to your sheers. When quoting or placing an order for tab tops we need to know the following information:
(this heading cannot be used on a track)
Diameter of pole
Preferred fullness: 1.5-2x
When measuring your curtain length for Tab Top sheers we strongly recommend installing your pole first. When fitting your pole please bare in mind the length of the tab as this should not show below the window reveal then measure from the top of your curtain pole to where you want the curtain to fall. The tabs are included in the overall drop and we can work out the depth required based on the diameter of your pole. The thicker your pole the longer your tabs will need to be!
Should you wish to do something different with the tab tops we can also cross these over at the top known as Overlapping Tabs these create a criss-cross affect at the top.
If you require a more contemporary look we can create Tie Tops these simply tie around your pole and you can either style this with a knot at the top or a pretty bow depending on what look you wish to achieve!
