An over-roll means the fabric will fall in front of the tube at the top (which it effectively hides) and will clear window handles. There’ll be a gap between the window and the blind, which will/can allow more light to enter than a back roll blind.

An under-roll means the fabric will fall behind the tube and hang closer to the window, which reduces light gaps and provides better insulation. Mount your blind further forward if you need to clear window handles.

Included: One roller blind supplied complete with a mechanism and brackets ready to hang. The blind comes with appropriate fixing screws to enable it to be either top fixed or face fixed. Installation instructions are supplied with each order.

Mechanism: Quality aluminium blind mechanism measures 5cm in depth - please check your recess depth and obstructions such as handles on windows.

Hem: Finished with a seamless bottom hem, which eliminates any pin holes that come with stitching. A resin bar ensures durability and a crisp weighted edge.

Fitting:

You can find our roller blind measuring guide here.

When measuring please take into account the ends and control mechanism, which add 35mm to the width of the fabric.

Inside of recess - Select this option if you are positioning the blind inside of your window recess.

Outside of recess - Select this option if you are positioning the blind outside of your window recess.

Ensure that you have thought about whether the blind is to be fitted inside or outside of the recess, as this will affect the measurements you need to provide. For more information on how to measure please see the More Info link above the measurements section.

Roll: The roller blind can be made up to either over-roll, so that the blind comes down in front of the roller, or under-roll so that it comes down behind the roller.

Control Position: The roller blind will come with a chain control and you have the option for this to be positioned on either the left or right of the blind.

Chain Colour: This is the blind control and is available in white plastic or silver metal.

Child Safety & Installation Height: in order to supply the correct chain length to adhere to British regulations we will need to know the installation height. The installation height is the measurement from the floor to where the top of the blind will sit.

• We must supply a blind where the bottom loop of the chain will be at least 150cm above the floor.

• We will also supply a safety clip with the chain loop which must be attached to the wall.

• In addition, safety labels must remain attached to both the chain loop and safety clip on purchase.

It is illegal for us to supply an internal window blind which does not comply with child safety requirements of BS EN 13120:2009+A1:2014.

Washing Care: Most blinds are wipe clean clean only, but each blind order will come with a care label with specific care instructions.

Material: 67% Polyester, & 33% cotton

Product Overview
Are curtains or blinds best?

With so many options available these days, both can be practical and beautiful.

Generally curtains lend a more luxurious feel to the room, while blinds look neater and more contemporary. Curtains can also offer better thermal insulation, while blinds are generally easier to clean.

Specification
What's the difference between blackout and dimout curtains?

Blackout curtains have a fabric or lining that blocks out all light, while dimout usually blocks most but not all light – normally around 98%.

The key to either blackout or dimout is to use them with poles or tracks that minimize the gap between the window and the curtain. Curtains tracks are often used, or you can get special curtain poles.

Can I wash curtains?

It depends on the fabric and construction as there is a huge variety of options for curtains. If you don’t have care instructions we would recommend dry cleaning.

Measuring Advice
How do I measure for curtains?

It’s very easy to measure up for curtains. Just follow our simple guide here.

Where should curtains hang?

Largely this is a matter of taste, but most of the time people choose one of three options:

1.       Just below the window. Offering a neat look, this is also generally cheaper as it needs less fabric. It can also be more practical if the room is busy or long curtains could pose a hazard, near a fireplace for instance.

2.       Just off the floor. Full length curtains look beautiful and can make a room seem taller. Just off the floor looks neat and provides a calming focal point.

3.       In a puddle on the floor. As above this makes a room seem taller and shows off a beautiful fabric. Puddled fabric looks less formal and really suits linens and other natural fabrics.

The length of curtain you need depends on where your pole is positioned. We rate this blog on how to hang curtains from stylist and interior designer Emily Henderson
